When do I need to arrive at the event?

Full monster and Swim competitors need to arrive at Loch Ness before 11am on Sunday the 8th of June 2025.

Safety & Emergency

The Event Team includes medics, who are on hand to help you with scrapes and bruises of all sizes. They also know all the nearest hospitals all along the route.

Before you set off on each day the event, you will be given a briefing to make sure you enjoy a healthy and safe day.

Do I need insurance?

We recommend all riders take out suitable insurance to cover themselves, their bike and their kit both during and in the lead up to the event. Please contact your insurer for additional advice.

What should I pack?

As with all outdoor events in the UK, it is advisable to pack for all eventualities!

A recommended kit list will be distributed to all participants in their pre-event guide in the weeks leading up to the event.

Do I need a Wetsuit?

Wetsuits are compulsory for the swim element of the event.

What if the event is cancelled - when and how will we be informed?

If the event is cancelled, for whatever reason, you will be contacted by email as soon as possible.

You will receive a full refund of your ticket price, less any payment fees (which are collected by a third party).

Is it a competitive event?

The Monster Triathlon is an experiential event rather than a race. The challenge sees all participants come together to tackle the arduous route from Loch Ness to London, creating lifetime memories and friendships along the way. For 2025, the Monster Run from Windsor to Richmond will feature chip timing for the first time, but the swim and bike sections are not timed.

What information will we get about taking part?

You will receive a welcome email before the event covering travel, what to bring, maps, directions and so on. On arrival at the event, each participant will be given a Monster Triathlon Guide – containing detailed maps, tips on safety, emergency contact details and lots more.

Are there any age restrictions to participating?

This event is only open to people over the age of 18.
